From the previews it looks like a take on "Groundhog Day", but not a comedy. This guy relives the same day over and over again where his love interest or wife ends up dying probably due to something he did. He trys different things in order to change the ultimate outcome.

Last nights Lost wasn't my favorite episode, but I thought there was some interesting/good stuff
I consider last night a building episode for some later developments.
Next week looks to be Locke, Ecko, Desmond, Hurley and I'm guesssing probably Charlie/Claire too.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

sorry if this is common knowledge, but isn't the blonde woman who is holding Jack captive and who held a gun to Kate...isn't that Penelope??
also, sounds to me like this group of "others" is more like the movie "the Village" in that they wanted to live peacefully so they stayed behind after the Dharma Initiative left the island and concluded (or failed) their experiments...i think they take the little kids from the island to teach them their ways so that they will have a new generation of "others" who can live on the island like they have

Gotta agree with both of you all--- Merlin and VT hokie. Daybreak reminded me of Groundhog Day and I also was thinking about the movie, the Village, while watching Lost last night.
Daybreak doesn't look good enough to replace lost to me though, I just can't stand Groundhog Day.
I can't wait to see what's going on on the other side of the island though.
Very revealing episode tonight. The preview for the next two weeks was quite interesting as well. Just a shame we're going to have to wait 3 months for more new episodes.
